The mountain bandit king Ma Da You kidnapped Princess Jiang Qian Er and was accidentally struck by lightning in the process. Miraculously, they swapped bodies and even shared each other's feelings, becoming intertwined in fate. Jiang Qian Er wanted to swap back and marry her beloved young general Lu Tian Xing, and Ma Da You also wanted to avenge his father. The two had no choice but to compromise with reality and cooperate to overcome various difficulties. Prince Ying secretly plotted a rebellion, sending people to infiltrate Ma Da You's stronghold and take control of it for a secret military base. Jiang Qian Er, Ma Da You, and Lu Tian Xing moved into Prince Ying's mansion, each with their own goals: Jiang Qian Er to investigate the death of Ma Da You's father and Lu Tian Xing to find evidence of Prince Ying's treason. Prince Ying rebelled ahead of schedule, overthrowing the court and leaving Jiang Qian Er homeless. Lu Tian Xing was also forced by his treacherous father to marry Prince Ying's daughter, Jiang Ke Lan, to show loyalty. To deceive their way to safety, Jiang Qian Er, Ma Da You, and Lu Tian Xing pretended to be involved in a hilarious and tearful love triangle.

"Alchemy" is a pseudo-science that attempts to create "gold" from various different combinations. One experiment to do so artificially brings to life a race of creatures, and the story revolves around an era where these experiments were being conducted in secret.

In the story, the artificial lifeforms known as the "Chemies", made to imitate things that exist in the world such as grasshoppers, were created from the art of the best alchemy techniques. Each and every one of them were carefully stored in "Ride Chemie Cards' until they were accidentally released all at once into the wild.

Our main protagonist, Houtarou Ichinose, is entrusted with the Gotcha Driver and the mission to recollect the Chemies that have been released into the world. Some are well suited for human companionship and if resonated with a good heart, Houtarou can fuse with them and transform into Kamen Rider Gotchard. However those that are influenced by human malice, there is a danger of them birthing monsters known as the Malgam. This is a story that explores the nature of good and evil, which are two sides of the same coin.

Will Gotchard be able to "collect them all", or will he let his carelessness mark the destruction of the world?

Jung Sun Ah is Kang Yo Han’s greatest rival and the executive director of a CSR (corporate social responsibility) foundation. With her beauty and her brains, she is closely involved with many important people, including Kang Yo Han, and has the power to shake up the nation.

Kim Ga On is an associate trial judge who shines as the one ray of hope in a dystopian world. He lost his parents when he was a child and spent a rough childhood, but he worked himself to the bone in order to get his first appointment as a judge. He has patience and endurance, but he is thrown into chaos while observing the actions of Kang Yo Han.

Yoon Soo Hyun is a police detective in a regional investigation unit who is on the hunt for Kang Yo Han’s secrets. She and Kim Ga On have been friends since childhood and grew up like siblings. Even though she is quite popular due to her easygoing personality and good looks, only Kim Ga On is oblivious to her charms.

Otori Keisuke attends a prestigious high school that has implemented a rigid environment to allow students to focus on their studies only. The high school has a strict rule that all kinds of entertainment are banned, including dating. If a student is found to be dating, they will be expelled from the school. Otori Keisuke happens to meet a girl and falls in love for the first time in his life. He is not willing to give up on his first love and goes up against his school's rule on dating. His friends attending the same school try to stop him, but they become touched by his sincerity.

However, he soon finds his childhood misfortune embroiled in one of the cases.

Mute Mo Yun was accidentally involved in the Quan Yu Xi's family struggle. The two gradually became in love with each other in the process of getting along, but they have been suffering from many sides. But the straw that broke the camel's back was miscarriage, after which Mo Yun decided to go abroad. Desperate Quan Yu Xi decide to take revenge on his own family, because of that. But what he didn't predicted, is that Mo Yun will back, much stronger, and thirsty for bloody revenge.

Unexpectedly, Boye Jingxing is not at all what she seems as she switches personalities from that of a goddess to that of a crazy woman - one is naively devoted to him and the other has ulterior motives. The drama centers around Park Ha Sun’s character, Min Sa Rin. She is an expert at her job, having been an employee at a major corporation for 7 years, but still a rookie at marriage, having only been married for one month. She tries hard to be liked by her in-laws, but encounters unexpected incidents and finds it hard to get along with her new family.

Kwon Yool plays Moo Goo Young, her ordinary husband who is not particularly good nor bad. Although he loves his wife, he gets caught up in the confusion between her and his family. Moon Hee Kyung plays Park Gi Dong, Moo Goo Young’s mother and Min Sa Rin’s mother-in-law. She is described as an extremely realistic mother-in-law.
